Research and Monitoring

The Loango coastline has a long history of human settlement beginning in the early Stone Age. Many archaeological sites of varying age (from Stone Age, through Bantu settlement and finally pre-colonial era) have been mapped and some sights have been, or will be, excavated and studied in detail to gain a better understanding of the area’s rich archaeological heritage.
