Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS)

WCS is a non-governmental organisation, founded in 1895. Focus points are the worldwide conservation of the biodiversity and ecosystems. WCS is present at the Gamba complex since 1999. The close collaboration with WCS started in 2001 when both SCD and WCS both looked at the possibilities to start with small-scale eco-tourist activities. SCD finances the conservation activities and the scientific research done by WCS in the Gamba complex.
