Guitarfish / Sandshark (Rhinobatos cemiculus)
This unusual species, which has a transparent ‘nose’, can reach 2m in length and is common in the surf zone and lagoon mouth, where they often take natural, fish baits.
Various species of stingray and shark are also caught from time to time. Bull sharks have been caught in excess of 250kgs. These fish are not usually targeted but can be if clients so desire. |
